Chief Scout Award

Mountain Biking Presentation

August 2000

This presentation on mountain biking has been done to achieve two of the requirements from the "Culture" section of the Chief Scouts Award. Click here to read the requirements.

It has been designed and created by three of the patrol leaders from 7th Woking Scout Troop.

To achieve these requirements we carried out a tour of the local area. This included Horsell Common, St. Johns Lye, Sheets Heath Common (Brookwood) and Tunnell Hills (Aldershot Firing Ranges). We used a variety of mountain biking skills including jumping, downhill and cross-country riding. We chose this activity because of an ongoing interest in mountain biking and Scouts and a desire to achieve. Plus it was great fun!
